Call Kia and ask if there is a recall campaign on this condition which is an active campaign on many brands of vehicles. The fix is to replace the headlamp assemblies.

There is an arm on the motor that runs to a transmission that connects both wipers. It is a plastic cup that snaps over a ball. Either end of that rod can pop off or the plastic breaks and it falls off. On most cars, the section of the hood that the wipers come through with the slots comes off so that you can get to this arm. If you look down through the slots you can probably see the arm laying on the bottom.

to replace outer door handles, do i have to go into the inner door mechanism and replace that or work on that too? how to change out outer door handle for the front passenger, and both rear doors

      Hi Kathy,

It really depends on the damage that has happened. If you can open your door from the inside then just let it be. But you have to open the interior door panel to replace the outer door handle.

All cars have a similar door structure, the only difference is the location and number of bolts.

More than likely the heater core has developed a hole. The heater core is normally up under the dash on the passenger side.

Is it water or anti-freeze, if its anti-freeze then yes the heater core has a hole in it, if it water then your AC evaporator drain is plugged.
      7/28/2011 reddone
Hey Joe Thanks. It is plain water. Do you know where the drain or hose is located ?

My drivers door will not unlocked with a key or unlock button what can I do to repair it?
The other doors will lock and unlock and open. Is there a way to open the door through the door panel once it is removed?

I've had the same problem with both front doors! I took it to one shop and once he finally got the door off, I could see that there is a plastic piece connecting the lock and the handle. The mechanic improvised and wrapped a wire through the two eye holes of the lock and handle. It works just fine now, but I have to be easy when I lock and un-lock the doors. I don't know if you can get a piece to fit there, but I'm more confident in the wire that plastic! That's my experience!!

I drove home with aircondtioning. It was cold. I parked the car 5 minutes got back in and it was blowing hot air.
Checked the relay. It was good. What now

Turn the temperature control from cold to heat and then from heat to cold. If you sense no perceptible change in discharge temperature then you have a stuck / failed blend door actuator.
      7/19/2011 MARION
Thanks, I'll give it a try. If it's the blend door actuator is that expensive to fix?

Wipers ..when I put them on you can hear the motor?-but they wont go back and forth
wipers make noise in all speeds put wipers dont move.

The gears are probably broken on the wiper arm, you need to remove your wiper assembly to see whats what. The way wipers work theres a gear that meshes with it on the arm and both arms are connected by a rod which is hidden from view. One of these have been busted. The only only time you will know the extent of the damage is when you remove it completely.

Ok this isn't hard at all just take a look their are front and back or side to side clips and ususally they have other places on the under neath stile around the car just look for the strongest sides of the car which is the sides for a rack if it's made for the back you will have to see if they fit to the underneath of the hatch back if it's a slide door van it's usually the under roofer ok just ask the rack to lisson to you it will deside to be place where it wants to ok and then as it fits to the top then strap it down with all ribbons in place usually it holds it ....pretty securely....take always a run drive with it to test it of coming off ok ....

How to remove the climate control panel? where are the screws?
    • CVO
      7/3/2011 CVO
The climate control pane is attached to the dash with a material called velcro. Use a screw driver and put a piece of electrical tape to cover the tip . Pry gently on a corner of the panel and pull it out.
