Several possibilities; faulty turn signal switch, faulty turn signal flasher. The turn signal switch is easily replaced underneath the steering column. Reference the 'How-To-Guides' feature on the AutoMD website for the specific steps to replace.

The parts are readily available from these many on-line sources, www.partsgeek.com, www.rockauto.com, www.discountautoparts.com, www.autopartswarehouse.com, www.jcwhitney.com - to list only a few possibilities. The various turn signal switches are listed in price from around $42.00 each for your vehicle.

Why does the a/c freeze up ??
The Freon is not low and after 10 minutes the air flow goes to zero. Turn off the a/c and in 5 minutes the air flow returns. Then a/c works fine for another 10 minutes.

Your air conditioning system has moisture inside it. The low pressure side of the system can easily reach temperatures below freezing. When this happens, water will freeze. It will build up ice, creating a blockage and preventing the refrigerant to circulate. The ice usually builds up between the orific tube and the evaporator core. When you turn the ac system off, the ice melts. Then when you run the ac system again, the water freeze again and causes the same problem.

This happened because (a) the system was recharged without proper evacuation (b) a small leak developed, allowing outside air and moisture into the system, then most likely the system was charged up with more refrigerant.

Your solution would be to take your vehicle to a qualified a/c service station. Have them examine the system to find any leaks. All leaks should be repaired, the system should be out under vacuum for at least 30 minutes, and new refrigerant and the proper oil need to be added into the system. If the system cannot hold vacuum (29 inches) for at least 10 minutes, there is still a leak.

Headlights go out when the steering column is tilted down.
When the headlights are on and the steering column is tilted down the dim headlights go out, but the brights still work, If the column is all the way up there is no problem.

Something like this almost always leads to a broken wire and the answer is to take apart the cteerin g column to find it and repair or replace whatever is causing it. Might require no parts and just labor and a butt connector.

Why does my left turn signal blink like a race horse when I turn and when I turn right, the signal works normally?
Left turn signal blinks normally sometimes, then when I turn the wheel for a left turn the signal starts blinking like a race horse trying to win the Kentucky Derby; yet when I turn right the signal operates normally, why?

Security system can't be deactivated because the driver's door has been changed and there is no key
security system has been activated and I can't disable it.

I will explain how to deactivate it:

To permanently disable the theft alarm on the 93-94 models, cut the Violet/Yellow wire (disarm circuit) at pin 4 of the theft alarm module. Ground the cut wire on the module side. Have the keys out of the ignition and all doors and hood closed when grounding the wire. This will disarm the theft alarm system and prevent the theft alarm from arming.

The theft alarm module is located in a really nasty spot - under the glove box and to the left of the glove box. In this link it shows a drawing of the module location. I have disabled two of these systems in the last 3 years. I actually cut a hole into the floor of the glove box for access to the module after removing the headlamp delay module you can then see the theft module. Otherwise the dash needs major disassembly for access.

Another method to disable the theft alarm is to disconnect the module and replace the Powertrain Control Module with a new one.

By the way I believe it is the pass door that deactivates the alarm.

My dashboard lights went off suddenly while I was driving last night.
The headlights and brake lights were functioning normally but it appeared that some of the tail lights were's on. Is this a possible fuse, bulb, or wiring issue? Thanks in advance.

I would check all fuses first. Which lights exactly are working and what is not working? The headlamp switch is a common problem and when it goes out can affect any of the lights. It will burn 1 or more of the wires at the switch

Why won't my dash lights stay on even after replacing fuse?
Dash lights will work for a few minutes after replacing fuse but then will blow the fuse. I have replaced repeatedly with the same result. I don't have problem with other interior lights, or radio.

Why does the battery go dead in 2 or 3 days?
When the vehicle is parked, a fully charged battery runs completely dead in two or three days. There are no lights on, and no indication of electrical power on.

disconnect neg battery terminal connect test light to cable and touch battery neg post if light comes on you have a drain or parasitic draw then you have to start pulling fuses to find out which circuit its on

90% of all cases like you are detailing here are caused by a degraded battery and the fix is a new battery. that being said..
Try removing fuse #7 the next time you park it and are going to not use it again for a day or two or whatever time it usually goes dead in. If removing fuse 7 seems to allow it to start without a problem after a reasonable time period and you are sold on the cause being fuse 7, replace the Lift Glass Ajar Switch which can go bad and cause a draw that goes through fuse 7. This costs nothing to try and rule it out.

When I put on my left turn signal, it does not work all of the time.
I have no issue with either the right turn signal or emergency flashers, they work 100% of the time. My mechanic replaced the turn signal combo switch about a year ago. Performance improved somewhat but it is still not 100% reliable. Help - this has to be a ...

If I understand - you are saying the left turn signal (either front or rear) works sporadically? If yes, then check for these conditions; loose bulb (front or rear) in the bulb socket, faulty wiring / connection at either the front or rear bulb.

I think the problem is in the turn signal lever when I put it in the left turn position. If I hit the steering wheel a couple times, it usually comes on. That leads me to believe either something is loose or is not making proper contact. No problems when I put it in the right turn position.

I will assume that the engine is not running hot for the sake of answering without knowing this for sure. The 4.0 Jeep engine is well known for bad water pump impellers and this will cause insufficient flow in the cooling system and of course give you poor or no heat when the engine rpm is increased, but oif the impeller is that b ad where it kills your heat then I would say that you would be running hot as well.

Another possible cause is a clogged heater core, but I'm not sold on that really. Do the heater hoses at the heater core feel hot to the touch after engine has been running for 30 minutes at least?

If this were my job to find the cause and repair it, my strategy to diagnose it would be to suspect that the instrument cluster itself was no good but would want to know the reason if I could see it. Sometimes removing the cluster and reinstalling it fixes it without you really knowing what you did to change it for the better, maybe where the connector attaches to it has a loose pin connection, but the odds are the cluster is junk.
