No just they can't get to Aline showed me a book showing no other adjustment ? I can't understand it ? 500.00 tires gone in 9000 miles? -
2/1/2013 TomYes. I've had this problem since I bought the car new. The reason I was told by Goodyear was that the car has a negative camber. What that means is the wheels are sort of pidgeon toed which gives you better handling on a sportier type of car. Seems like I buy 2 new tires every 8-10 months. It's ridiculous. They can make an adjustment to reduce the extent of the negative camber but it won't help much.

12/6/2012 rickSorry to say but there is no way for any of us to tell . The car needs to be jacked up and checked to be sure and see everything to tell whats wrong . A lot of shop will do a FREE brake check in hopes they get to do the work . Maybe start there .

9/12/2012 HouseCallAutoIn this day and age of how cars are with more specific made parts for certain cars equipped a certain way, one cannot install a part that appears to be "similar or close in appearance, and doing so usually invites error messages. You must get the same part or in almost all cases you will not have a successful job.

How much should I pay to replace rear shocks on a 2002 jaguar XType 3.0 awd baseMike - 2002 Jaguar X-Type - Steering & Suspension - 7/3/2012I just paid to much for the front-
7/3/2012 JimmTry the many on-line auto parts sources, such as; www.RockAuto.com or www.autopartsawrehouse.conm for the repalcement parts. They (Rock Auto) list the rear shocks for around $110.00 each for your vehicle. The labor may cost anywhere from $20.00 each on up to replace - depending on the repair shop.
By the way, they (Rock Auto) list the front strut assembly for around $67.00 each for your vehicle.

Rattling under the hood,shock is loose,groumet is shredding, do I need shocks or just bushings?cptseaweed - 1998 Jaguar XJ8 - Steering & Suspension - 4/24/2012-
4/24/2012 JimmIt depends on the mileage since the last time the shocks were replaced - if over 50k miles or so, then consider replacing the shocks. The new shocks will come with new mount bushings for the top and bottom.
Try the many on-line auto parts sources, such as; www.RockAuto.com or www.autopartswarehouse.com for the replacement parts.

A shop will be better equipped to diagnose your problem, im online and this type of problem is near impossible to diagnose.
Yeah sure someone might chime in with a solution, you will still end up in a shop because Jaguar suspension parts are not that DIY friendly.

My engine light and abs light is on.I changed the speed sensor because supposably that was what was wrong.octavio arciga - 2003 Jaguar X-Type - Steering & Suspension - 3/2/2012now they are saying that the reason they are on is because the axles in the front don't have an axle ring. Is this really the case?-
2/18/2012 Spoon SportsThats why you need to get it scanned before you replace whatever, i mean YES the most common reasons behind an ABS light is the ABS Speed sensor but it can also be other things.
Axle ring? check engine lights are triggered by electronic devices and not mechanical ones.
Get it scanned then post the codes.
2/20/2012 octavio arcigaThe codes are c1145 and c1155 -
2/25/2012 Spoon SportsDiagnostic message C1145 (Speed Wheel Sensor RF Input Circuit Failure).
'
The front sensors are easy to swap from left to right....
The message may be from cut or damages wiring, so take a careful look at it when the wheel is off.
If there is no obvious damage to the wiring, I would swap the sensors from left to right and see if the problem moves to the opposite side.
the pulse generator ring on the front wheels is part of the front wheel bearing and you probably would need to replace the entire front knuckle - much easier than doing just the bearing and not so expensive. as long as you don't have any bearing play in the right front wheel then i would swap.they maybe be corroded or seized in thehole, then swapsensor from left and right and then link harness as well, if that 's not it then you need a r/f wheel bearing
2/29/2012 octavio arcigathere is also the c1155 which is LF input circuit failure. So switching it probably wouldn't do anything. The reason this is so confusing for my mechanics is because its indicating failure on both sides. -
