Why does my car rattle when I accelerate past 60 mph?
I brought my car in to be looked at thinking it was a suspension or alignment issue. They informed me that my rim was bent. I replaced the rim, but the problem still persists.

If you spend a couple thousand at a body shop
they may be able to make some sort of repairs

That would be major damage you have

I would guess the body is distorted & not just the
      suspension parts

Most likely there is suspension or frame damage - or both as result of the impact. No accurate way to determine extent of damage or repair costs via the internet. Take the vehicle to a local, trusted repair shop in your area for a complete inspection and repair estimate.

Broke the Accessory belt tensioner. Any way to remove it without using the wrench connection at the base?
I was replacing the power steering pump and during reassembly the joint where you would put a ratchet in to relieve the tension shattered like it was made of porcelain. I would prefer to not replace the tensioner. I have never had a tensioner that was so difficult ...

It depends on what is broke? Are you trying to reach the tensioner from up-top? Would it easier to reach it from the passenger side wheel-well? That would mean safely raising and supporting the vehicle and removing the tire. Never trust a jack to hold vehicle, use quality jack stands and use several, on pavement not dirt or grass.

The correct fix would be replacing the tensioner. I can't tell if it is possible to get a pipe wrench with cheater or something on the tension arm, to release tension? My biggest problem is I can't see anything from here.

Need more information - when you say the 'steering is crooked' does this mean the steering wheel,or the front wheels?
Did the wheel alignment shop give a warranty with the work? If yes, then return the vehicle to the same shop for them to correct the 'crooked steering' condition.

Is it possible to get a different steering wheel.
I want one that is open at the bottom so I can grip it at the bottom with my palm down. If possible, how costly?

I don't like the way I have to grip the steering wheel. I want one that is open on the bottom so I can grip the bottom of the wheel with my palm down. If possible, how costly is it?
