Need more information - is the stereo in question a factory or aftermarket unit? If factory, then the part is a dealership item only. If aftermarket stereo, then contact the stereo manufacturer for any replacement parts needed.

There is a leak in the air compressor. Should I fix on a car this old?
It was working fine one day, then started blowing warm air.

The air conditioner system leak can be identified using different methods; simple visual inspection (look for oil / dirt accumulation around hose fittings, for example), UV dye and ultrasonic leak detection - to list only a few.

Before discarding the vehicle - have an inexpensive leak detection test performed - utilizing the methods listed above - to determine the refrigerant leak source, the recommended repairs and estimated cost for the repairs.

Don't just replace the malfunctioning component. Professional system repair may involve the flushing and replacement of additional parts and fresh lubricant to put it back in proper operating condition. For example if you open the system to replace the compressor, the system should be flushed, all o-rings and seals replaced as well as the receiver drier, orifice tube, and accumulator.

The parts are readily available from these many on-line sources, www.partsgeek.com, www.rockauto.com, www.discountautoparts.com, www.autopartswarehouse.com, www.jcwhitney.com - to list only a few possibilities.
In fact, they (RockAuto) list the air conditioning compressor components kit from around $247.00 for your vehicle.

Thank you, Jimm! Very nice of you. I took my Hyundai to a mechanic and they did the tests (when I first wrote, they only allow you a few words to write). It has a big leak unfortunately, and needs to be replaced. He quoted me at $700-800.00 for everything. I was just wondering if it would be worth it, for me to even repair.

The value of the vehicle is determined by; overall condition, mileage, resale (blue book) value. Use these tools to determine the relative value of the vehicle; www.kbb.com, www.edmunds.com, www.consumer-reports.com.

What is the vehicle overall condition? Any other repairs needed; tires, brakes, struts / shocks - total all the needed repairs both major and minor - to help determine the cost of ownership for the next 2-5 years - based on estimated service life remaining.
When these repair costs are totaled up; both current and future estimated - reach the 80% of the vehicle resale value at that time - then give strong consideration as time to replace.

The ultimate and final decision is yours, of course - but with minimal research you will find that it is almost always less expense to fix / repair a used vehicle than to purcahse a new vehicle. Despite all the automotive advertising and marketing hype.

Especially when considering the depreciation rates at 40-50% of the purchase cost - after three (3) years for any new vehicle purchased.
For example, even if the a/c system repairs cost $800.00 - can you replace the 2003 Hyundai (at an estimated vehicle mileage of 150,000) market valued at $2900.00 to $3500.00 (source: www.KBB.com)?

you can get a use air compressor on ebay for $50 or a new one for around $135 and up thats where I get most of my parts I looked it up for you, if you buy your own parts it can lower the repair cost and I would call around for more estimates if I was you

As a general rule, avoid used (salvage) a/c compressors - you will spend money needlessly. Especially if the related components are not replaced, as indicated previously; all o-rings and seals replaced as well as the receiver drier, orifice tube, and accumulator. Best to purchase either a remanufactured or new a/c compressor along with these parts listed.

Most likely the problem is due to a faulty heater blend door actuator - located bhind the glove compartment.

The parts are readily available from these many on-line sources, www.partsgeek.com, www.rockauto.com, www.discountautoparts.com, www.autopartswarehouse.com, www.jcwhitney.com - to list only a few possibilities.

For example, they (RockAuto) lists the heater blend door actuator from around $53.00 for your vehicle.
