Squeeling noise only when turning on the air conditioner. what's the problem?
The air feels super cold for about 15-20 min. then it goes warm, and then back to cold. There is a mold smell when it goes warm. It sounds like the compressor is turning on and turning off. The temperture needle is almost at the middle and the cooling fans keep ...

sounds like the a/c system needs to be recharged or there is a problem within the system could really be anything compressor, evap. the mold smell is most likely fro debris built up in the hvac check for old leaves under the hood in the cowl area or moisture buildup in the hvac unit. The pressure sensor for the a/c system could be the problem. if the cooling fans keep coming on there could be an issue with the coolant temp sensor. Or like you said a sticking thermostat.

Attach a code reader and read the stored fault code and re-post with the code or codes and I can tell you what is likely the cause.

The black smoke - it is running very rich, maybe a bad oxygen sensor. You have to read the fault codes stored in the computer memory.

The valve cover gaskets and tube seals need to be replaced. Common problem, not the end of the world.

Need to know about a code p1362 in a honda engine?

Odds are that the distributor is bad.

      1. Inspect the distributor connections for being clean and tight.

      2. Scope the TDC Sensor signal on the Orange/Blue wire - look for a consistent AC sine wave signal with the engine running.

      3. Verify that the TDC Sensor ground is good on the White/Blue wire - look for 0.05 volts or less.

      4. Verify good quality tune up parts and ignition coil. A faulty ignition coil or poor quality distributor cap and rotor can set this code.

      5. Check for a faulty alternator, if the alternator is causing excessive AC voltage this code can set.
      Potential Causes: Alternator
      Distributor
      Ignition Coil
      TDC Sensor
Top Dead Center (TDC) Sensor Wiring

Tech Tips: Code P1362 is for no signal from the Top Dead Center (TDC) Sensor. The TDC Sensor on this model is inside the distributor.
      Diagnostic Codes: P1362

My car is leaking out anti-freeze, I can tell it is coming out the bottom of the radiator.
How can I tell if it is coming out of the hose or if somthing is wrong with the radiator?

There is no magic here. You have to determine that with your eyes just the same as me. At least you know it is one of those two things.

If it does NOT have spark, check the distributor cap, rotor, and ignition wires. Then check the ignition module. Is there a check engine light?

Fans dont turn on but dash guage doesnt go past center and check engine light comes on about time that fan should start
and once you turn off and restart the check engine light is off.. also fans dont come on when a/c is turned on. a relay switch in front of engine to fans is wasted and has bare wires will this cause this problem

Can you fix the wires that are bare as you say? Maybe that is the cause of your fans not working. No sorry needed about your level of mechanical knowledge. If you give me enough information and detail to work with, I can help you bypass many costs that you would otherwise have to pay a shop. That is if you are a good DIY type person.

also the a/c has always worked in the car with no problems until it sat for about 6 months and the i had a used transmission installed and since it has never cooled again and the mechanic said it had an electrical problem, actually first he said it needed to be charged then he said it was electrical. is it possible for them to mess up something with the a/c when changing the transmission and them not admittting it.

      1. At the cooling fan relay check to see if there are two terminals that show battery voltage with the key in the on position.

      2. At the radiator fan temperature switch A, ground the Blue wire. Check to see if the radiator fan relay clicks.

      3. At the radiator fan check to see if there is voltage to the radiator fan on the Blue wire when the relay is energized. Check to see if the Black wire is a good ground.
      Potential Causes: Radiator Fan

Check and see if there is ignition spark. Remove the distributor cap and verify that the distributor turns when you crank the engine to verify that the timing belt has not broken. With the cap off>>

The Black/Yellow (BLK/YEL) wire should have battery voltage, key on engine off. Also, the coil negative wire should have battery voltage. If voltages are good you will solve this problem by installing a re-manufactured distributor ass'y. It could also be caused by a bad igniter or a bad ignition coil but by the time you pay for these two items you have reached the price of a distributor almost so.........

A car that does not crank means the starter motor is not operating which of course can mean a bad starter.

I thought if it turns over when you try to crank that the starter can't be bad or it wouldn't even turn over. Mine cranks and cranks but will not start up.
