My car has 170,000 miles on it. It usually has a quiet engine but last night it started sounding like it had a turbo motor or something. It was rainy and cold yesterday when it started. This morning when I started it I looked around because I thought for sure there ...

When it stalls and will not restart, at that moment (not 5 minutes later) you have to check for spark. if there is no spark, install a new distributor ass'y. Probability here is greater than 90%.

Fuel mileage and performance have drastically decreased
I use to be able to get 400+ on a tank. Now I'm getting 335 max. No lights are on. I've run cleaner through it. Maintenance is been done. I have no idea what it could be. Engine is also sluggish at takeoff. Not hard on vehicle at all. Don't speed or brake quickly. ...

Confirm timing belt alignment is not off by one tooth because that would do it. Try cleaning the mass air flow sensor with aerosol cleaner. Check tire pressure.

Is the a specific cleaner you recommend? Can the teeth for the timing belt jump out on there own? Would any of this also cause the gas gauge to fluctuate?

Yes the timing belt could jump on its own. Buy Mass Air Flow sensor cleaner in an auto supply store. No the gas gauge is unaffected by this.

Immediately after my car starts I hear a loud sound from under the hood that reminds me of ripping thick card board.
Also, when I am parking I occasionally hear a ping from the wheel well area. Not unlike a large spoke being pulled.

This car might still have under the 3 years or 36,000 miles warranty. Call the Honda Dealer to schedule a warranty repair.

At start up when warm rpm erratic.might stabilize or die If I put it in gear stabilizes right away.
only does this at start up when warm.Put it in gear problem goes away until next start up when engine is warmed up. No check engine light on.

Just because the check engine light is not illuminated does not mean that no codes are stored. It would be unproductive to begin guessing here without clear confirmation of what (if any) fault codes are stored. Update the post and confirm that you plugged in a code reader and read codes and provide any code numbers here first.

Camshaft sensor has been replaced, already. I got a full diagnostic test to check all my sensors to pinpoint the exact sensor with the issue and they confirmed Crankshaft Position sensor. The check engine light is not currently on. I'm looking to replace this myself, as I do for most my repairs. Will I need to remove the Timing Belt to install the new sensor?

$500 is max because it needs an engine at least, not even mentioning if anything else needs attention. Someone would have to spend at least $1000 for an engine and then at least $700 to install it and not counting any other unknowns that might up the repair costs they will be in the car for $2200 minimum. If that seems like something you would be willing to go through yourself then that would mean that others would also. In GOOD condition Kelly Blue book says a private party value is $2474.00 so for a person to go through all the repairing of the car to basically end up with a car that they paid full book value (or almost) they will have to like this car a lot for some other reasons, maybe pristine body or interior condition etc. The only person who can get the car done for under book value is someone who will replace the engine themselves.

The key will turn the engine over and over and over but It will not crank up only when it is cold outside and when it doesn't finally catch after 5-6 min of holding the key is lugs and shakes the car for a sec on top of smoking
