The speedometer and tripmeter drive circuit are connected to the vehicle speed sensor ( vss ) through the engine control module ( ecm ).If the vehicle doesn't developed any transmission shifting problems, then the vss is out of the question.
There are two possibilities problems, the speedometer/ tripmeter drive circuit quits or the ecm drive circuit control stopped working.

Left turn signal does not function. Need type and location number of fuse.
Started yesterday, turn signal indicator does not function on dash, lt. turn signals do not engage. Rt. turn signal functions ok. Fuse number and type are not listed in manual.

Have you checked the left turn signal lamps yet - as a first step - both front and rear? If not, then start here - simply swap one of the right side bulbs to the left side and see if the problem moves.

There is no fuse for the turn signals - only the flasher relay. Usually, if the signal relay Flasher Relay (PN = 38300-SDA-A03 Honda or aftermarket replacement Standard Motor Products part # RY727) is faulty - this may affect either sides of the turn signals; left or right.

When your "battery" light comes on, it is a sign that your alternator is about go out. The light is designed to come on when your vehicles electrical circuit falls below the normal charging voltage which is variable for different vehicles, usually 13.5v - 14.5v so have it checked out soon because it will eat up your battery if you continue to drive!

How do you replace a brake light bulb?

    • Jimm
      4/23/2013 Jimm
After removing the 2 screws on the rear of the tail light housing, there is a round plastic tab. You need to pop the light housing back and outward with a flat screwdriver. Wrap electrical tape on the flat end to avoid scratching the paint.

      1) Open the hatch of the minivan and locate the light access panel. It's on the inside of the door, just behind the stock taillights.

      2) Unscrew the retaining screw that holds the access panel cover to the interior. Turn it to the left to pull off the panel.

      3) Twist out the lightbulb you need to replace. For a visual inspection, look at the bulb to see whether any of the filaments inside are burned out or no longer connected.

      4) Twist out the bulb using your hands. This should be easy to do and requires just a small twist.

      5) Twist in the new bulb, pushing in as you twist to lock it in place.

      6) Reinstall the bulb socket into the light, close the access door and close the hatch. Test the lights to make sure that everything works correctly

I used to work with a car-rental some years ago and the switches in all the different models were tricky.Sometimes the dash-lights would be all off and all it was that a knob was turned off.On my dodge the head-light knob turns to switch the dash-lights on/off.

The body shop repairs will vary by the individual shop even in the same location / area. Best bet is to have one or more auto body repair shops in your area provide an estimate after a thorough inspection of the work needed. To find a shop, you can try the 'Find-A-Shop' feature on the AutoMD website.

It seems that you are paying $800 to refinish the damaged bumper. It is not even getting replaced. The typical body shop charges about $800 to remove old, paint the new (new bumper comes un-painted) and re-install. Why someone would go to all the trouble of removing and then working on for hours instead of replacing is beyond me. By that logic, refinishing the old one should be less money. Also, it seems that the bumper in question had an equal amount of prior damage, so that should mitigate costs passed on to you, not by the body shop but maybe by the car owner out of fairness?

I have two 12s in my car and recently the front speakers have stopped working but that back ones still work.
If I push up on the radio the speakers work. I was wondering if this would maybe be a short or a problem with the radio.

    • Jimm
      4/20/2013 Jimm
More than likely this is a problem with the wiring or connections. Start by tracing the speaker connections at the head unit (radio) and work your way towards each speaker.
