By trailing arm you mean the bar in the rear that connects the rear end to the body. that wouldn't cause the car to pull, usually front end problems cause this. I would say most likely it is unrelated, and you should have the front end checked for problems with steering & suspension components. This could be a bad tierod end, wheel bearing or ball joint for starters. I would ge tit checked the sooner the better when an older car pulls that mutch it means somethig is usually broken.
