Can the turbo charger assembly be repaired or replaced with a used one?cataulachick - 1991 Eagle Talon - Engine - 5/17/2013Milage 121,000.has not been driven for about eight years,now has no powerO2 sensors, spark plugs and wires replaced.

5/17/2013 JimmThe turbocharger is usually rebuilt / remanufactured to save cost. Check the many on-line auto parts sources, such as; www.autopartswarehouse, www.rockauto.com, or www.turbochargerpros.com for the replacement parts. For example, they (Turbocharger) list the remanufactured turbocharger from around $265.00 for your vehicle.

5/17/2013 HouseCallAutoJust because it has no power does not mean the tjurbo is the cause so be careful with jumping for a diagnosis without at least some investigating. Extract fault codes is a good start. The no power cause could be caused bh many other factors. Jumped timing belt, misfires, low compression, you name it. Has the gasoline been drained and refilled with fresh gas?

Where do i locate the starter on this engine?allske4 - 1994 Eagle Summit - Engine - 4/4/2013We had my wifes car towed to a local shop and they said the starter was bad and replaced it but when my wife got off work it wouldnt start again and i want to make sure they put one on.

4/4/2013 JimmThe starter motor is located on the underside of the engine - just next to the oil pan. On the tranverse (sideways) mounted engine - the starter is best accessed / viewed from underneath the vehicle.

2/16/2013 HouseCallAutoIf there is no spark then replace the crank sensor. This is not a sure thing but the odds are better than 75%.

9/20/2012 HouseCallAutoYou burnt a fusible link. They can be located by following the positive battery cable to a special looking splice. It is not a fuse, it is a fuse wire. It will be between the positive battery terminal and the power distribution center under the hood. I cannot see a reference to the amperage rating of the fuse links. One is white and one ios brown. the brown one has a higher amp rating then the white. One of these fuse links is open. You can buy fuse link wire to put in it's place. Probably like 30 amp rated for brown and less for the white. Ask chrysler dealer parts dept to look it up or research the amp rating by wire gauge size. the brown fuse link is 18 gauge and the white is 22 gauge.
