The vehicle speed sensor ( vss ) controlled the speedometer via the powertrain control module. If the engine doesn't have any symptoms listed below then the vss isn't the culprit.

      Overheated transmission
      Increased emissions
      Poor fuel economy
      Stalling on deceleration
      Improper shift points
      Cruise control inoperative.

Note: do this, disconnect the negative and positive battery terminals for half an hour to reset the powertrain control module. If the problem still persists, then the speedometer might be the culprit.

Caravan won't move under it's power OR ours....!!
The wheels seem to be locked up. We aren't sure what it is. We thought maybe the transmission but are wondering what else would cause the wheels (front) to literally be locked. We can barely even push it with another vehicle. Engine runs fine. We were able to just ...

You have to narrow it down for us to help. Does moving the steering wheel change the sound any? Does turning on electrical loads change the sound any? example headlights, rear defroster, heater blower? if nothing you do changes the sound, then the drive belt should be removed temporarily just for testing and see if the noise is gone with the belt removed. Just start the car and run the engine for a minute or two and listen for your noise. is the noise gone?

No pressure on clutch pedal when depressed.
Changed clutch, slave, bled master and still no pedal.

so if this were my jo to find the cause of the no pedal at this point, what you need to do is remove the slave cylinder and look in there at where the slave cylinder pushrod pushes against, the clutch fork. Check that there is not a hole in the part that receives the pushrod tip, causing the pushrod of theslave to go through it without hitting against resistance. If there is no hole, manually push on that same clutch fork with a suitable tool (you become the slave) and see if the clutch feels like it disengages (the engine is off by the way). Follow this to rule out a mechanical cause.

Why does my van seem to slip into neutral when I'm driving?
My Caravan has almost 150,000 miles on it. Sometimes when I first begin driving it it seems to slip into neutral. If I let it set for a bit and warm up or I hear it seem to idle down, it will go. On occasion, however, it has done this 2 or 3 times and then it's ...
