center support bearing is f you have a two piece ( 3 joint shaft ) if you have a one piece ( 2 joint shaft ) then there is no center bearing, I would jack up the rear end and support on stands, turn wheel by hand to see if noise is heard. if the backing plates are touching the rotor this will find it, second if you have someone you trust then lay next to one of rear tires and have someone drive forward and see if you hear it. its either a u-joint ( squeak squeak ) or possibly a differential but they usually don't just squeak.

What causes the automatic transmission to downshift improperly on 2000 dodge intrepid? Read more: http://wiki.answers.c
Often the transmission won't upshift out of 2nd or 3rd gear until the car has been driven for about 10 minutes. Occasionally, it will suddenly downshift out of high gear when the car is at highway speeds.

Don't stop there if you going to keep the thing . Do the whole clutch . Most times you can buy a clutch kit way cheaper than part by part . When ready to put back in check with some rental centers and get a tranny jack . don't cost much for a day and makes life better .

check your master and slave cylinder for brake fluid .its empty fill it and pump the crap out of the clutch pedal to get the fluid moving . if that doesnt work then you may need a new clutch
