If you plan to do this work you should invest in a repair manual for the vehicle. Most auto parts stores sell them for around $20. The manual will have complete instructions with pictures and diagrams. It is well worth the investment for any vehicle or home mechanic. Changing the heater core is very labor intensive and physically demanding. It requires working on the floor of vehicle for long hours. You should consider having it fixed at a garage if you can afford it. Replacing the heater core is the most awful job on any vehicle you will not enjoy it.

Power locks not working on both back doors

Several possibilities; faulty door lock switches, faulty door lock relay, faulty door lock wiring or connections common to both rear doors. After checking the relay, and as the next step - exchange one of the front door lock switches to the rear to see if the problem moves.

The drivers door handle will not open the door
The drivers door handle will not open the door from the inside. The door will open from the outside. What is the problem?

    • CVO

A plastic clip to hold the connecting rod to the door lever is loose or broken and it is the cause of the door handle can't open from the inside.

Check the many on-line auto parts sources, such as; www.autopartswarehouse.com, wwwpartsgeek.com, www.autoanything.com and www.rockauto.com - to list only a few sources. For example, they (RockAuto) list the complete rear axle assembly (remanufactured) from around $990.00 (minus the core charge) fro your vehicle - depending on the axle (gear) ratio.

The replacement bed - as an assembly - may be more readily available via a local salvage yard or auto body shops in your area.

Thanks very much, as I'm writing from Jamaica, West Indies and received a quote of US$1,145 for the Axle Assembly, delivery include shipping cost and US$1,500 for the Bed Assembly, but will have to pick up the latter from a shop in Pennsylvania. The truck is located in Portland, Ionia, MI 48837 and I used the website at www.uneedapart.com. Thanks for the links as I will use them to compare prices.

Disconnect the both battery cables negative and positive terminals for hour. Prior for the re-installation of the battery cables, cross it the both terminals for a few minutes to remove any energy may stored in the electrical system.
This trick worked on my 92 Dodge Caravan. In the event, if the gauges do not work then the instrument panel clusters logic quit.

Most likely the headlight lift motor is faulty, or the lift motor mechanism is binding. Check the many on-line auto parts sources, such as; www.autopartswarehouse.com, wwwpartsgeek.com, and www.rockauto.com - to list only a few - for the replacement parts.

Has to be a blown fuse or something in the wiring you may/may not have connected properly. If it was a plug n play install, something in the harness is not compatible with the factory harness. Also, check under the hood near the battery or starter relay (if your car has one)for a silver in color circuit breaker. It may have went bad
