It could be the drivebelt first :check and see if it's cracked or glazed .If you bought the van used and you don't know if it has been replaced then it can't hurt to replace it. If it's not the belt it may be the regulator or the alternator it self. Faulty wires in the charging circuit.

I have ram too and about a year ago the A/C stopped. So I shook all the ground wires that I could see and to my amazement the A/C started back up.But, the A/C was replaced two or three years earlier so I did'nt expect anything to be wrong with it. I felt that it had to be something simple. Good luck with it.

No, the instrument panel cluster needs to be replaced. Very common problem.

Maitre HCA, please allows my two cents answer. Try this, do a powertrain control module reset by disconnecting both battery terminals for half an hour and rubbing each other terminals for a few minutes. It might restore the instrument clusters. That trick worked on my 92 Dodge Caravan 3.0. Hope this helps.

How do I get the radio to reset after changing the battery in 2011 Sonata?
Changed the battery and the radio will not come on now.

Your new Sonata came with an owners manual and lots of other documents and thin booklets and miscellaneous papers, many of which you never looked at after the day you received the car. Among all those papers was a document that *probably* was the size and shape of a credit card. This document had your radio code on it and you were supposed to keep this document in a safe place. Now you know......... In the absence of knowing the radio code, you can call Hyundai service dept and they will look up the code for you and tell you.....for a price.

Both seatbelts are extended fully and will not retract. They seemed to have happened at the same time.
I lent the truck to a friend and it came back to me with both driver and passenger seat belts extended fully and they will not retract. It seems odd that they both would get stuck. Is there a fuse that controls these or do I need new seats with working seatbelt?

There is no fuse - the seatbelt retractors work on a spring. If the retractors can be removed, it's possible to try to unstick - otherwise they must be replaced.
There was also a safety recall for the seatbelts - check the NHTSA campaign #: 01v119000 for the Dodge Ram to see if this may apply to your vehicle.
Check the many different on-line auto parts sources; such as -, and for the replacement parts.

Do a reset on the powertrain control module by disconnecting the negative and positive battery post terminals for half an hour. It will reset the instrument clusters.
Note: before reconnecting the battery terminals to their posts, touching the negative and positive terminals together for a minute to have a complete reset to the powertrain control module.
