why do I still smell a little antifreeze?
I had radiator replaced, as it was leaking, had heater core replaced to make sure and had head gasket replaced as it was leaking. Still smell a hint of antifreeze even though all antifreeze was removed.

There may be a slightly loose hose connection / clamp that may be tightened - as example - on the heater hoses at the heater core.
The residual anti-freeze smell may also simply be due to the old fluid which had been leaking - or been drained out of the system - as a function of the repairs.

If the system is pressure tested and no leaks are observed given several minutes and no pressure decay is observed on the tester gauge, plus the cooling system is monitored for the coolant level and the level stays constant - then the slight smell may simply be residual anti-freeze deposited on the heater core fins, as example.

I still smell a little odor of antifreeze after having radiator replaced, as it was leaking, had heater core replaced
and had head gasket replaced. Where is it still leaking? Had a pressure test done and found no leaks. What could be the problem?

First question - was the cooling system pressure test performed on the engine and vehicle when completely cold?
If not, this would be the next step - as components tend to expand when heated to mask and close off leak paths.
Even if the pressure test is OK, there may be a slightly loose hose connection / clamp that may be tightened - as example on the heater hoses at the heater core. Hopefully, there were new heater hoses installed as part of the heater core replacement?

Yes, the heater hoses were replaced and I also had the head gasket replaced as I was informed it was in need of replacement. I normally smell it at stop lights and while turning.

Pressure test the cooling system when the engine is overnight cold and look again for an external leak while under pressure. If no leaks are seen anyplace, have to consider that maybe the engine is burning coolant. Coolant when burning because of a bad head gasket, burns white and makes significant billowing white clouds of white smoke from the tailpipe and the smoke has a sweet smell to it.

What does it mean when the wheel of a car bends outward when driven?
The vehicle has really low mileage so I would like to fix it if at all possible. This happens when I drive the vehicle. Which is why I stopped driving it.

Heating and A/C instrument display does not illuminate when the car is started. During driving the display appears.
Why does my heating and A/C instrument display does not function when I first start the engine. After driving for a while, it comes on and functions normally. Defrost/heater/AC do not come on at the initial start of the car. Why?

You have an air pocket in the heater core. When the motor is cold, remove the radiator cap and top up the coolant/antifreeze. Next start the car leaving the radiator cap off. Turn the heater to the highest heat position but leave the blower on off or low. Run the car for 15 minutes to get up to operating temperature. Rev the motor to 2,500 rpm and hold it there for 1 minute and then let it drop to idle. Keep this up for several minutes, you can also squeeze the upper radiator hose at the same time to help move the air bubble out of the system. Watch for air pockets in the radiator cap opening, when they stop appearing go into the car and see what the heat feels like. When the air is all out, you will only feel a slight difference in temperature coming out the vents with the motor at idle or revved up.
Now it's time to figure out how the air pocket formed.
1 Coolant was changed but air not purged properly
2 Leak in system causing low coolant level. Check all hoses, the water pump, and check for intake manifold and head gasket leaks.

How to replace an expansion valve?

Need to first discharge the a/c system - be sure to have the refrigerant reclaimed by a qualified a/c servcie shop. The expansion valve is located inside the evaporator box under instrument panel. The expansion valve is on the inlet to evaporator. Simply locate the expansion valve and carefully pull straight out of the orifice. Be sure and lubricate the o-rings and seals on the new expansion valve with refrigerant oil before installation

Go to the dealer and ask them to reset the stereo system. Check the fuse of the brake lights it might have blown off; replace as needed.
