My fog lights keep coming on , killing my battery. They come on when the lights are off and the key is removed.
It seems as tho it could be caused by vibration-slaming the door other vehicles to close slamming there door or stero too loud. The switch was replaced a year ago when I had a simular problem

THE FRONT WHEELS SHEERED THE LUG NUTS OFF...WHAT CAUSE THIS?

The wheel nuts have become loose over time, as they work themselves loose vibration / force and the weight of the vehicle hit up against them and eventually strip the threads or snap the stud. This is why regular servicing and checks of tyre pressures / wheel nuts are so important.

I have 22" rims and tires on my car. It makes a constant roaring noise when I drive like an airplane. Why is that?
90,300 vehicle miles The only time I hear this sound is when I'm driving srtaight. It doesn't make the noise when I turn the wheel. The noise gets louder the faster I go.

How many miles on the tire and what brand /model? the more aggressive the tread pattern and smaller the sidewall the more road noise you hear. Check that model tire on tirerack.com and im sure youll see some mention of noise complaints. Conti DSW tires a good low noise option to consider if you do need replacements.

Take out the seats and leave the kids home ;-) That gas mileage is not as bad as your might think. But dont use that built in computer. Go fill it up, reset mileage clock. Next time your fill it divide mileage by gallons and you have your actual gas mileage which is probably 2-3 mpg worse. Newer air filter, synthetic oil, Low resistance tires and baby the gas pedal will get your a few more mpg

Which option should I choose?Do I replace my whole exhaust system or just the cat backs since the exhaust looks okay?
mileage is 46000 and the battery was changed once during warranty.

Why are you replacing anything exhaust wise as preventative Maintenance?

Check the manual for that car, the federal emissions warranty might still be in place 10yr/100k if your having some issues.

Unless you have that car parked on grass/mud and its rotted out i would leave it alone.

If the exhaust looks ok and is not leaking there is no reason to change it. You only need to change the exhaust if it's leaking or if the catalytic converter fails, Unless you wanted to put some sort of performance system on it.

Don't know about a 2007 but my 2002's battery is in front of the left front tire in the wheel well. It can be changed without taking off the left front tire. Ah yes, modern engineering.

      Technical Service Bulletins - TSB
A bulletin issued to an auto dealer by the manufacturer detailing a fix for a known concern. The bulletin is for informational purposes only. It is not a recall. The dealer is under no obligation to make the repair or notify customers. TSB's are intended to assist dealers in ongoing repairs.

Why is the gas meter level indicated on the dashboard very inaccurate?
For example, I'll start the car and my gas tank will indicate that it is half full. After driving approximately five miles, it'll drop to the red where it is close to empty. Later when I return to the car and start it up, the meter will be just below the half tank ...

Several possibilities; faulty fuel sending unit, faulty fuel gauge relay, faulty fuel guage. Try the many on-line auto parts sources, such as; www.RockAuto.com or www.autopartswarehouse.com for the replacement parts.

How do i find and repair an a/c leak?

    • Jimm
      8/4/2012 Jimm
First step - the a/c system must be fully charged with refrigerant. Next - start and run the engine with the a/c system operating. Using one of these tools; a/c system dye, a/c leak detector - trace each of the a/c fittings - at the major components; compressor, condensor, evaporator - and each hose fitting - look for dye evidence and scan with the a/c leak detector.
The actual repair will vary - depending on which component may be leaking or at fault. Try the 'How-To-Guides' feature on the AutoMD website for more specific steps - including photos.
