Check this with a scan tool, ABS is an important sytem for brake and it may not work when braking that could cause the wheel to lock up. Dangerous.

Did you also check the condition of your headlight relays? If possible try to check the condition of your bulb (maybe blown) and your headlight electrical connectors (if possible check for battery voltage and ground at your connector).

Lift supports should be replaced in pairs to ensure safe, reliable support of your hood, hatch, or liftgate. They're both the same fit.

Why would breaklight repeatedly burnout and need replacement

    • yboy82
      1/9/2011 yboy82
Did you already check your brake light wirings/connection/circuit for damaged/short wire? Most of the time short wires/connection in a circuit is cause of a repeatedly burn/damaged part/s.

CHARGE LIGHT COMING ON AND STAYING ON WHILE OPERATING LIGHTS, TURN SIGNALS, WIPERS, BRAKES OR ANY COMBINATION OF THESE
BESIDES THE BATTERY (WHICH WAS TESTED AND FOUND GOOD) AND THE ALTERNATOR (WHICH WAS REPLACED TWICE) WHAT COULD BE THE CAUSE FOR THE CHARGE LIGHT TO COME ON AND STAY ON WHILE USING THE LIGHTS, TURN SIGNALS, WIPERS, OR BRAKES OR ANY COMBINATION OF THESE WHILE DRIVING?

    • J and K AUTOMOTIVE TOWING AND REPAIR
Could be that the alternator is not charging the battery properly
      Check with a voltmeter
A fully charged battery should read around 12.8 without engine running
With engine running voltage should read around 13.8-14.2.......also check your alternator belt if is slipping or worn out the alternator wont charge correctly ...........then you will need to replace the belt...........advance auto parts has the belt $6.02............Part No. 44013..............good luck

    my horn stoped working (HELP)
it stoped workin when i got it back from inpound when they towed it. it has close to 80k for miles. other that in decent condition for engine, but outside has some scare, all electrical is good(hace a upgrade stero if that even matters)

    • Bobby
      1/6/2011 Bobby
no stereo shouldn't matter, did the horn work before impound? does it have an aftermarket alarm system or a factory set up? check the actual horn, sometimes the alarms won't stop going off when they impound so they either cut a wire to the horn or smash it. find the horn check it see if the wires are attached. if they are then you want to test the circuit by checking for voltage to the wires at the horn when the horn is pressed.

take door panel off find motor plug unplug motor use jumper cables pos on one side neg on other it will go up or down switch wires it will go other way if motor is good that will tell you it window switch or wiring problems
    • Nissan Technical Advisor
Is all your windows doesn't work or it's just one window? If only one, it's more likely a fuse or wiring connection, loose wire or there's a high resistance in the wiring. Motor and cable problem can also be the cause but must trace first if the wiring is ok. A continuity test should be done to determine if wiring is ok or there's a resistance in it. The window switch should be checked also if faulty.

Blend door concern, its stuck, you have to remove a part of your dashboard to locate it, its a black rectangular piece of plastic that swivels to let either cold/hot air out. on most cars, their is a panel under the passenger side of the dash and glove box. Just a couple of screws in the front side of it to take it off. You will see a door that lets your heat come through and right up above it is the actuator. It has a plug running to it, so follow your wires and they will lead you to it.

We have replaced the water pump, the thermostat, the radiator, and the timing belt. IT is still overheating?
The fans are hard wired to stay on all the time. It has 86000 miles, it ran for over an hour and stayed in the low temps, then when sitting at idle it over heated.

Probably cylinder head gasket is damaged. Did you noticed what color the smoke coming out from the exhaust pipe, and the condition of engine oil if it has foam bubbles in it? Worst the cylinder block is cracked but check first the above suggestions.
      Nissan Technical Advisor
      1/4/2011 tricia sanders
the smoke that comes out the exhaust is the normal color, and barely any, and there is no foam bubbles, and the mechanic that replaced everything said he doesnt think it is the cylinder block, i got the car back from him a week ago and have driven it like a car that has no problems, and then tonight i drove it to a business, it ran for 25 mins while i was in there and my husband stayed in the car, then ran another errand, then went to hardees and waited for them and thats when it over heated.
      Nissan Technical Advisor
      1/4/2011 tricia sanders
thats when it overheated, so i am at a loss. I really cant afford to take it backt o my mechanic, what they did already cost me 750.
      Nissan Technical Advisor
With details given above my suggestion is to buy a radiator pressure tester and test the pressure of the radiator, instructions is given by the link. http://www.ehow.com/.../...ssure-tester.html
If pressure is ok, the nearest possibility is cylinder head gasket is damaged.

How do i change the cabin air fliter

    • Nissan Technical Advisor
Check the a/c air filter cabin in your engine compartment, passenger side of the engine bay against the firewall to find the air inlet box. Press the tabs to slide the cover forward and access the filter. Lift the old filter from the air inlet box and discard it. Insert the new filter with the arrows pointing toward the rear of the vehicle. Press the tabs and pull the cover back to finish.

Note: Chrysler recommends replacing this filter every 15,000 miles to keep the interior air quality high.

I had a simular problem with my 93 new yorker 5th ave...got a new remote, and could not make since out of the instructions that came with it. With the help of a Chrysler tech this is the information that I found out on how to program them...on the drivers side of the center console tucked up underneath is a single dark green wire with a female recepicle end on it...ground that out and the locks will cycle, then press any of the buttons on the remote it will program the remote, if you have two of them, do one right after the other...
