My rear end went out.so I replaced it.now my truck won't go forward in drive. If you put it in drive and mash the pedal.
It tries to move, but if you put it in 1 and drive through the gears it works fine. The tranny was rebuilt about seven thousand miles ago.

How do you adjust a hydraulic clutch?
198,000 Miles on this truck Grinds when changing gears.

No adjustment for the hydraulic assisted clutch. Sounds like either the clutch master or slave cylinders (or both) are worn. These components are easily and inexpensively replaced.

The parts are readily available from these many on-line sources, www.partsgeek.com, www.rockauto.com, www.discountautoparts.com, www.autopartswarehouse.com, www.jcwhitney.com - to list only a few possibilities.
In fact, they (RockAuto) list the clutch master and slave cylinder assembly from around $168.00 for your vehicle.

Replace them and bleed out the air until you have a good pedal. Then see if it still grinds.

will it shift with out the engine running? if it will your clutch isn't disengaging check all of your clutch linkage to make sure you got it back together right. if their was alot of bolts gone or lose your clutch could have cut a groove into the input shaft causing the clutch to hang up on it and not release.

Could be A issue with clutch fork or throw out bearing applying to your pressure plate. Does your pedal pressure feel the same. The clutch disc is obviously not being disengaged enough to allow you to shift into gears when running. More than likely something happen reducing your travel of clutch when your bolts came out/missing.

yes, clutch pedal feels normal everything works and feels the way it should as long as its not running. I didn't need to jack up or jerk tranny to put bolts back in, direct line up. also I didn't take anything apart or remove shift linkage from tranny. (and I was driving it before replacing bolts) Just had gear shift jumping when depressing or releasing throttle while driving. (that's what made me crawl to find missing bolts.) keep in mind the "bell-housing to tranny bolts" not the trans t motor

Actually just double checkin the feel of the pedal, kinda seems like it might be hanging up slightly when almost to floor while pushing in

Transmission is having trouble between 1st and 2nd and 2nd and 3rd gears. Seems like a common problem for this car.
No codes popping up in the computer of the car when i took it in to get looked at and tranny fluid it at the proper level. Heard something about solenoid's possibly being the problem?

Check ignition timing. It may be too far advanced. Using a timing light, readjust ignition timing. But there are a few things to do prior to adjustment.

Timing must be set under the following conditions:
      - normal operating temperature
      - air cleaner installed
      - air conditioning off
      - transmission in neutral
      - disconnect SET TIMING connector. The location of the set timing connector is inside the cab where the heater box and the carpet meet on the passenger side floor. Pull carpet back to expose the single wire and connectors on the outside or the control module harness. The wire colors are tan with a black stripe. DO NOT disconnect 4 wire connector at distributor.

To adjust base ignition timing, after the above steps have been followed, loose the hold down bolt at the base of the distributor. Use the timing light to determine how far the mark on the harmonic balancer needs to be moved so that the base timing is set to 0° BTDC. Tighten hold down bolt at distributor and re check for proper timing. Clear control module trouble code by disconnecting control module power source. With engine at operating temperature, drive vehicle at part throttle with moderate acceleration and decelerate to idle condition. This will "teach" the control module and return engine to normal performance.

Double check for any vacuum leaks.

Why would the RPM change rapidly up and down between 30mph and 60mph?
When driving between 30-60 mph the RPM needle will go up and down and the car will have jerking movements a few times before it stops. Could this be a speed sensor problem?

Why does my car jerk while accelerating.
My trailblazer jerks lightly kinda like a skip when accelerating but doesn't do it when gas it pushed down harder. Only when lightly gassing arround 50-60 mph. Doesn't do it when I let off gas or accelerate harder just the inbetween. What could this be?

Plug in a code reader and read fault codes. Checking for codes cannot be skipped as it is the first thing that should be done.

how many miles are on the transmission you could of had a syncro clutch break or something. if you change the oil in the tranny look for. don't be alarmed if their is alot of shavings in there

If the transmission is difficult to put in any of the gears (not just first gear) with clutch pedal depressed but it is able to easily engage in the gears with the engine not running, then your cause is the clutch hydraulic system has either a bad slave cylinder or a bad clutch master cylinder or the system has to be bled.
