first check the transmission fluid wipe the dipstick on a white rag or paper towel. it should be red i'm guessing this time it will be burnt, it sounds like it needs rebuilt. revers requires the highest pressure and is all most always the first to go. if the fluid isnt burnt check the kick down cable that goes from the throttle body to the transmission the little adjuster on the top can break and if not caught in time will smoke the transmission because it runs the trans at low pressure when it breaks and lets it slip.

My 1994 Chevy will not engage into 4 wheel drive.
The selector button only lights up in 2 wheel drive. When selecting 4 wheel drive nothing happens, no flashing light or 4 wheel drive indicator light. Would this be caused from a bad transfer case module, bad transfer case switch or the vacuum valve. Dose the vacuum ...

I had a problem similar to this on my s10 blazer. It turned out to be that the electronic shift motor was bad. But before condemning it you should have it diagnosed. Check wiring, the switch itself, and the module. The shift motors going bad on this car is a common problem.

Issue: hearing and feeling a "hum" that begins at around 25 mph, sound increases when steering right.
Thought it was a bearing problem, but there is no grinding sound. The sound is directly related to speed, the pitch of the hum goes up. Left wheel was hotter than the left after test drive. Could it be an issue with the trans-axle bearings or u-joints?

First step - have the stored fault codes or check engine light scanned - for free - at any local auto parts store; Advance Auto, Auto Zone, NAPA. Then, post a reply as 'add answer' with the specific code for more assistance. There may be a fault code stored in the OBD memory which may not be displayed as a check engine light.
There are literally hundreds of possible fault codes - so for sake of simplicity and to assist the diagnosis and repair of the issue you are having, this step is fundamental.

I have an 09 Malibu LT. Check your fuse box and see if you have a blown fuse or bad relay for your door assembly. The fuse box usually has a built in diagram showing which fuses and relays control each electrical device. If your fuses are good, check the wiring inside the door panel and see if any have been pinched or spliced accidentally. Replace any as needed. If problem still exists, you may have a processor issue at that point.
