Moved your answer here Rado so other people can see it.

Got the codes pulled and, wow, I was wrong. The one code that I always get is P0452 (Fuel tank pressure sensor), also got P1860 (TCC PWM solenoid electrical fault??) P0753 (1-2 shift solenoid valve performance?) P0758 (2-3 shift solenoid valve performance) and P0113 (IAT circuit) but a plug was undone on the intake tube, so I think that was the reason for the last one...

    My car surges in gear
Whenever I put my car into gear, it ides up and will go on its own, even fast enough to shift into second gear. I have been having to put it into neutral to apply the brakes because it does not want to stop.

How do you replace a crankcase position sensor and what does it mean is wrong when it needs replaced

The crankcase position sensor is what tells the engine's computer where each cylinder is in the combustion cycle. If it is failing you might have things like cylinder misfires or perhaps the car won't start from time to time. As far as what you have to do to replace it, it varies. I've never worked on a Venture so I can't say exactly where it is but typically they are in one of two locations:
1.) On the transmission bell housing right where the transmission meets the engine
2.) Somewhere near the crank pulley where all the belts are
You'll have to do some research with the local auto store or consult the repair manual for your car (available at auto stores) to find out exactly where it is. Once you locate it though it usually isn't too hard. Just a couple bolts hold it in, pop off the bolts, pull the old out out, push the new one in, re-install bolts, re-connect electrical connector. The only trouble you might run into is if it's located on the top of the transmission bell housing. If that's the case you'll need to be very careful not to drop the bolts into the housing or you'll be removing the transmission to get them back!

it means that the computer can't see where the crankshaft is positioned and cant decide when to send spark. the sensor is fairly priced and you should be able to replace it yourself.

If the motor is a 3100, it should be located on the engine block about 2" above the oil pan towards the center of the block. It will be on the firewall side of the motor. Typically, the engine is transverse mounted. Locate it, remove a 10mm set screw, and gently pull while twisting the sensor. Be very careful not to break the sensor as it will be somewhat brittle. The reason they fail is due to the sensor housing becoming cracked, thereby allowing the electrical signal to short out to the engine

150,000 miles. I all of sudden couldn't go faster than 30mph. Also wouldn't go in reverse. There wasn't any leaking before or loud clunking when shifting.
