When turning, my Tahoe rocks back and forth while one wheel spins furiously and the other doesn't seem to do anything?
When driving in a parking deck, and making a hard left turn, my Tahoe began to have serious issues - squealing one tire while the other hardly did, causing it to rock. While going straight, there was no issue, and if driven for less than thirty minutes it drives ...

I suspect that the front differential is not "slipping" as it should in a turn, causing the wheels to rotate at the same rpm during a turn which is not possible. Try changing the front differential oil. Buy the oil from the dealer so there is zero chance of installing the wrong oil spec.

Transmission fluid may cost too much so does the transmission. Do not modify anything, be safe than sorry.

You have a bad front hub bearing. This is the same as a wheel bearing.

Do I have a ring & pinion issue, axle bearing issue or both?
it started as a whine that I could not determine where it was coming from. It got worse and I could detect what I will call a back slap sound, that's what made me think it was a gear problem. I found that the differential was about 2 qts low on gear oil. I refilled ...

I would recc you buy a used rear axle assembly complete. Make sure you get the same gear ratio as what you have now. That you can replace yourself, when you change the complete assembly. Trying to set up a new ring and pinion and bearings, definitely not.

      Condition/Concern:
In rare instances a 2009 Chevrolet Aveo / Pontiac Wave/G3/Barina may set a DTC of P2181. This
document is for vehicles that ONLY set DTC P2181 and no other cooling system DTC's. If the
vehicle is setting other cooling system DTC's follow the diagnostics in SI to repair the vehicle.
      Recommendation/Instructions:
The condition for setting DTC P2181 may not accurately reflect the operating parameters for all
operating conditions. Currently development work is in process to evaluate the data over a wider
range of operating conditions. Use the following procedure below if DTC P2181 ONLY has set.

Let the vehicle cool for 2 hours first.

Then hook up a Tech 2 and command the engine coolant thermostat heater to 0%. Tech2

1.6L L4 LXV / Transmission Type / Engine Control Module / Special Functions / Output
Control / Engine Coolant Thermostat Heater)

Start the engine and raise the RPM to 3000.

Observe the engine coolant temperature (ECT), run engine for 5 minutes and note coolant
temperature. Tech2 path (Diagnostics / 2009 / Passenger Car / Vehicle Line / Product Line

If the coolant temperature does not reach 195F (90C) within 5 minutes, replace the
      thermostat.

If the engine coolant temperature reaches 195F (90C) in less than 5 minutes clear the DTC
and install the latest calibration available in Tis2Web.

I recently changed the slave cylinder and bearing assembly on my 1996 Chevrolet K 3500. Since then i have a clunck .
The clunck occurs when I put it into reverse or downshift. All three universal joints and carrier bearing are new and it never done this before. What would be causing this annoying clunck. It never done it before the repair.

The check engine light doesn't have to be ON to store a fault code.

Check the vehicle for fault codes to see if there are any sensors were involved to the malfunction of the engine.

1.Local auto parts stores such as Autozone ( not in California) or Advance Auto parts will scan and retrieve any diagnostic trouble codes ( dtc ) stored in the powertrain control module for free of charge..

      2. Amazon.com has the code reader for less than $16.78 dollars + shipping
Autel MaxiScan MS300 CAN Diagnostic Scan Tool for OBDII Vehicles

3.Re-post the dtc's in here " answer question " for further assistance.

Note: we need the dtc's to identify the sensor, there are a dozen different sensors to operate the car.

Why car is not shifting into gear?
I have a 2008 Chevrolet Impala. The car presumably went into neutral while driving on the highway. After pulling off to the side of the road, the car would not shift into drive or reverse. The car starts fine but will not move when put into reverse or drive. Earlier ...
