Cool on the driver side and hot on the pass side is almost always caused by a faulty pass side blend door actuator. If it were the reverse (cool on pass side and hot on driver side the cause is always that the system is low on refrigerant.)

I believe that you have a bad instrument panel cluster and the wire that you removed was maybe someones attempt at adding a ground wire to try to solve this issue, however it is not likely that adding this wire did anything at all. The action of jiggling the IPC can cause a bad cluster to go out when the cluster is bad to begin with. GM instrument panel clusters are well known for going bad. I suggest you stop at a Cadillac dealer and speak to the service manager in person and ask him if the cost of the cluster repair can fall under their "goodwill" policy. The word "goodwill" is an internally used phrase inside dealer service departments. GM dealers have been known to replace many clusters for free or for a couple hundred. The full price would be near $1000. A discreet tip might help also, directly to the SM and don't let anyone else see that. Good luck.

Any type of misfire (p0305 = misfiring on cylinder 5) can ruin a catalytic converter in short time. You have codes for both cylinder banks for Converter efficiency below threshold. You need to have the vehicle properly diagnosed to see what is causing the misfiring. The misfiring has most likely ruined the converters already due to the excessive heat created in the converters from the misfiring.They may not be clogged yet , but they are most likely heat damaged, which is why you have the p0420 and p0430 codes.

Are you saying the dealer pulled trouble codes P0420, P0430 the first time? How many miles on the car, and are you the original owner?
