    My starter bell housing keep breaking

      It might be caused by a backfire condition during starting, although I cannot say why. But the possibility means that anything related to a misfire condition has to be solved. Look for fault codes that may be stored with a code reader to assist you.

      Are you referring to the tail lights not working - yet all other lights work OK? If yes, then the problem will be related to any of the following; faulty light switch, faulty / poor wiring connection common to the tail lights.

    I have to go through long crank time before the car gets started; what could be the cause/causes?

      First step - have the stored fault codes or check engine light scanned - for free - at any local auto parts store; Advance Auto, Auto Zone, NAPA. Then, post a reply as 'add answer' with the specific code for more assistance. There may be a fault code stored in the OBD memory which may not be displayed as a check engine light.
      Do not purchase any additional parts (including the crank position sensors) or service based on opinions - but facts. Facts which are as result of proper diagnosis and testing to determine the cause of these issues.

      The long start cycle may be result of; low fuel presssure (clogged fuel filter, faulty fuel pressure regulator) or weak ignition spark - but to determine if is this is the case - has the fuel system pressure been tested?
      The fuel system pressure should be within range of several PSI at the; outlet side of the fuel pump, to the filter, to the fuel injection rail at the engine. What are these system pressures during start-up?

    No hot water going threw heater core
    line is hot going in box were heater core is but cold coming out

    The lights dont come on after i start my car. i cant see how fast im going, i cant see how much gas is in my car,

      check small thin wire hooked with battery negative cable and connected to LH finder >
      it's an earth * ground wire >
      make sure it's secuered and no rust on base .

    How do I get my on star to start working again? The power indicator by the display on the rear view mirror is out.
    On star told me to take it to a GM dealer, however, if there is an electrical problem (fuse, loose connector) I am capable of troubleshooting that myself. Help

    My car won't hold a charge when the doors, trunk, hood, and or if radio is playing. Had battery, alternator checked.
    Have to jump often if leave anything on more than 3 to 5 mins.

      You need to have your Battery and charging system re-checked. There is definately a problem in one or both of these systems!

    I put freeon in and turned ac on high, it did not get cold, the air compresser never kicked on so the fan did not start
    its got 77thousand miles, Ive only had it since the last of march, when I wanted to use the ac it never got cold, heater works good, we drained it and put in new free on, turned ac on high, the air compresser wont kick on and it does not cool

      The a/c receiver / dryer is mounted and located between the condensor and the expansion valve / orifice tube.
      Check the many on-line auto parts sources, such as; www.autopartswarehouse, or for the replacement parts. For example, they (RockAuto) list the a/c receiver dryer / accumulator from around $7.25 for your vehicle.

    How can you determine why its over heating
    put athermasate and radiator cap on it its over heating with in a mile of starting and driving 100000 miles on it its happening all the time warning lights says battery not charging once the car starts to over heat

      Here are a list of conditions that can cause an overheating condition;
      A low coolant level, a coolant leak (through internal or external leaks), poor heat conductivity inside the engine because of accumulated deposits in the water jackets, a defective thermostat that doesn't open, poor airflow through the radiator, a slipping fan clutch, an inoperative electric cooling fan, a collapsed lower radiator hose, an eroded or loose water pump impeller, or even a defective radiator cap.

      Loss of coolant because of a coolant leak is probably the most common cause of engine overheating. Possible leak points include hoses, the radiator, heater core, water pump, thermostat housing, head gasket, freeze plugs, automatic transmission oil cooler, cylinder head(s) and block.

      Make a careful visual inspection of the entire cooling system, and then PRESSURE TEST the cooling system and radiator cap - with the engine cold. A pressure test will reveal internal leaks such as seepage past the head gasket as well as cracks in the head or block. A good system should hold 12 to 15 psi for 15 minutes or more with no loss in pressure. If it leaks pressure, there is an internal coolant leak (most likely a bad head gasket but possibly also a cracked cylinder or engine block).

      It is important to pressure test the radiator cap, too, because a weak cap (or one with too low a pressure rating) will also cause the overheating.
