Why is my car leaking pure water
Every morning there is about a quart of water on the garage floor, pure water no anti freeze. My mechanic says it is from the A/C and is typical for a Deville. Is this true?

Sounds right unless its 100 degrees in your garage in which case it would have evaporated already. Pull your car into garage after driving leaving A/C on and see if you see dripping. The dripping you see is moisture from the atmosphere the A/C unit is removing from the interior of your caddy to make it cool. The more humidity the more dripping of water (condensation) you will see under the car.

First, return it for a refund

      EAST50410 - $180.66 Direct Fit,

By the way please post the code, some codes get triggered not because of the part itself but the parts connected to it.

Replaced fuel pump in tank, got pressure and gas to TBI, but injectiors will not spray and start engine.
Checked power at injectors, ok. Both injectors sprayed once or twice, then stopped. Have plenty of fuel delivery, just no injection.

Heat pipe bypass that starts on front engine to the back of the engine. It is connected underneath the oil pan
It is connected underneath the oil pan by approximately 3 to 4 inch heavy-duty gauge hose. These pipes are rusting. And I need to replace them. Either I find the two pipes or replace them with appropriate hose?

I have overcharged the air conditioning system, what do I do?
The compressor is new but was not cycling on when I went to recharge the system, thus the overcharge. The compressor is now cycling on and off but the overcharge remains.

If the AC works, then the pressures have to be fairly close. There are pressure switches for high pressure and low pressure that will disconnect the compressor if the pressures are too far off, either way.

Your mechanic would have to place a set of gauges on the lines to determine the pressures, and if he did this, then why didn't he go ahead and correct the problem?

Take it somewhere else and get a second opinion on it, if you are still worried.

      good luck to you!

Please take it to a licensed facility for evacuation and recharging. You could do damage to your system if run that way and damage to the atmosphere if you release the gas manually.

Thanks jejohnlo for your comment. I have been working on the system myself so access to gauges, etc. is not applicable. I am a shade tree mechanic who knows just enough to get in trouble, which is where you find me today. I am not out to do damage to anyone or the atmosphere, I just need to know how to bleed off the high pressure in the system. I am using the pressure gauge on a recharging kit I bought at the parts store. Money is an issue. Thanks for your thoughts.

You said it was new and wouldn't take a charge, then why do you think it is overcharged?

How did you get freon in? What did you do to get it to run?

How much did you put in??? If you used the small cans how many of them?

You can get the codes from the dash without a reader. You will have to look it up as I do not remember the exact buttons to use. Or you can have someone with a reader do it.

After you get the codes you can look them up on the internet.

Write them down and then clear them so you can see which one or ones come back.

A loose gas cap can give you a code so make sure it's tight.

There is a chance the head gasket is leaking even if the engine is running well. The Northstar is not designed like old school engines. There is an exhaust gas tester also known as a block tester that you can use, it is less than $50 but can be hard to find. Some radiator shops can do the test inexpensively.

Look at cadillacforums on the net for more detailed info.

Yes they do :) I'd go with Jet Chips or Super Chips. Buy the one with the PDA not just the add on.

Actually EDGE products also has good programmers.
