Inside 1/4 of Right front tire is showing flat spots all the way around. Pep boys offerd to replace the struts on saleRusty - 2002 Acura TL - Steering & Suspension - 7/2/2011for only 800. Im not even sure if it is struts?? And if it is what is the full list of parts needed to replace the front struts? Any thoughts??-
7/2/2011 JimmGiven the tire wear description, there is also one other question - how many miles on the struts? If more than, say 30-50,000 miles - then probably time for replacement. You can purchase new struts from one of many on-line auto parts stores, such as; www.RockAuto.com or www.autopartswarehouse.com. They (RockAuto) list the front struts from around $57.00 to around $135.00 each.
Your call - but $800.00 sounds like a bit much. Try to find a repair shop that will let you purchase the struts and then replace them for you - to save a bit of money. The repair cost should include the struts, the labor, and a wheel alignment. To locate repair shops in your area, try the 'Find A Shop' feature on this website.

4/25/2011 BillIf they rub only at speed bumps, could be your struts. I try not to get into the aftermarket parts problems whenever possible. This setup is a smooth ride killer.

2/17/2011 J and K AUTOMOTIVE TOWING AND REPAIRIt could mean it's time to change the fluid in the power steering system. This is best done by a professional shop that can properly flush and purge the system. I would advise spending a few dollars extra for SYNTHETIC power steering fluid as it lasts longer. Your vehicle should never "use up" power steering fluid. If it's low you have a leak somewhere and it needs to be addressed ASAP. If you let the power steering pump run with low fluid you will ruin the pump very quickly.

11/14/2010 CVO1. Check the power steering fluid for a correct level when it's cold. There are two marks, one for cold, the other for hot..
2.Spray a belt dressing oil ( any local autoparts stores will carry ) in the pulley and along the belt. Hope this helps and be safe. -
11/15/2010 FFFFunSounds to me like your belt is either loose or in need of replacement. If it's a serpentine belt the idler may also be bad and causing the belt to not adjust correctly. Check both the underside and topside of the belt(s) for cracks and/or wear. The belt(s) should also be pliable and not real stiff. If you see cracks, wear or the belt(s) is stiff then replace them. The belt dressing will help you determine if it is a slipping/loose belt but will only stop it for a short time.
