Is there a time limit to use the recall bulletins related to power steering problems; whining when engine is cold?Acura07 - 2007 Acura TL - Steering & Suspension - 11/7/2011109000 miles . Only whines when the vehicle is cold after warming up it stops. No leaks or having to add power steering fluid. I noticed it ( the whining) 1 week after my timing belt was changed-
11/7/2011 JimmWhether there is any limit depends on the service, the recall, and the manufacturer. You might check with the local dealership directly about a particular recall notice to see if there is any expiration date.

I hear a squeaking noise when ever I turn to the left. Sounds like rubber on rubber squeak.98acura - 1998 Acura CL - Steering & Suspension - 8/22/2011Mechanic thought it could be rack and pinon problem, another thought it could be strut related. Inside 1/4 of Right front tire is showing flat spots all the way around. Pep boys offerd to replace the struts on saleRusty - 2002 Acura TL - Steering & Suspension - 7/2/2011for only 800. Im not even sure if it is struts?? And if it is what is the full list of parts needed to replace the front struts? Any thoughts??-
7/2/2011 JimmGiven the tire wear description, there is also one other question - how many miles on the struts? If more than, say 30-50,000 miles - then probably time for replacement. You can purchase new struts from one of many on-line auto parts stores, such as; www.RockAuto.com or www.autopartswarehouse.com. They (RockAuto) list the front struts from around $57.00 to around $135.00 each.
Your call - but $800.00 sounds like a bit much. Try to find a repair shop that will let you purchase the struts and then replace them for you - to save a bit of money. The repair cost should include the struts, the labor, and a wheel alignment. To locate repair shops in your area, try the 'Find A Shop' feature on this website.
