Depends on the condition of the recall and the specific repairs performed. First step, check with the local dealerships in your area to see if the recall is still active or applicable.

How do I determine the root cause of the vibration from the front?
The 6 speed manual transmission car has 150K miles on it. I am experiencing vibration from the front end when at 30 and 60 mph. It gets worse when the car is accelerating. The vibration goes away beyond the 30 and 60 mph mark. This occurs when the engine is ...

What is wrong when my steering locked up when I had to turn sharply in a parking garage?
Recently I had the steering fixed at a auto-body shop and it was working fine. Yesterday I drove out of town and had to park in a garage and it locked up on me.I'm not sure if I should drive it home or have it looked at immediately..

Detail your statement "locked up" in firher detail. Do you really mean to say that the steering has no "power assist" but the wheel still turns?

Well it seems that the clockspring under the steering wheel got broken while the steering column was disconnected from the rack and pinion. If the steering column is reconnected and the steering wheel somehow got rotated one turn in either direction, that would allow the clockspring to break when the wheel was then turned. The clockspring is like a cable that "spools" and has a center position. The normal range of motion is equal both to the left of center position and to the right of center position. If the steering wheel is turned off of center and then upon reassembly when you go to connect the steering column to the rack someone then "thinks" that they are moving the steering wheel to the center position when in fact it is one turn to the left or right of center, then you have already used up most of the range of motion of the clockspring (the spooled cable) and then when you are done and start up the car and start moving the steering wheel lock to lock the clockspring cable will break. Do you also have an air bag light illuminated? If you do not have an airbag light illuminated then maybe what I detailed is not your cause and the actual cause is a connector that was unplugged by you and forgot to reconnect.

I recently replaced struts. Now hearing a squeaking noise coming from right front when I hit bumps in the road.
I recently had my struts replaced. 1 week later I started hearing a squeak on the right front side. But the noise only happens when I hit bumps in the road. I don't hear the squeak any other time. If it's raining, I don't hear the noise as loudly. It's starting ...

Need some advice on power steering. I have a 2010 MDX with 34K miles.
I've had this issue with rough/vibrating (not so much whinning) steering issue. The power steering pump has been replaced twice under warranty by dealer and the stering rack was just replaced also under warranty by dealer. The problem only occurs when turning the ...

Sounds like air trapped in system. First try loosing reservoir cap while idling and very slowly turn steering wheel back and forth, left and right but not all the way cranked, shut off tighten cap and drive to see if anything changes. Re-check fluid level also. This is hydraulic fluid made to take the pressure, if air trapped, air does not compress, thus a shuddering condition can occur.

The pump should output steady pressure over 213 PSI and max pressure of 1290 to 1370 PSI. If the pressure is low, suspect a faulty power steering pump. Someone has to confirm that the pressure is within these specs. Maybe they lied and did not change the pump. Or maybe they used a non-genuine OE replacement pump because it was cheaper than their own pump.

When the service bulletin/campain first came out, we were putting pumps on MDXs that we thought were a little tougher than others to turn. We had put several on that were not that much better or equally as tough as the pumps we had just taken off. We replace the pumps, obviously with Acura parts and because they are under warranty, and they will ask for the old pumps back. If Acura replaces a part under warranty, they ask for the part back to inspect, rebuild, etc., and if you dont send the correct part back in the original box, they will bill the dealership for the entire repair order. Not ALL things get requested back (i.e., blown fuses, orings, relays, even some "good-willed" parts like dashboards), but that would not be in the best interest of the dealership to say they put a part on, and not follow through with it, haha, you know? But we have replaced pumps, steering racks, and the high pressure line oring on the pump (just to ensure no air is being introduced to the system), and still have a little bit of toughness in the steering. That being said, if there is no air in the system, like Bill said, it may be something you'll have to live with.... Wish I had a better answer for you, haha! But they just dont but the smooth steering systems like they did on the older RLs and Legends on anymore..... Hope this helps!

About 2 1/2 hours of labor or roughly about $225 labor and the hose is about $120. I hope you did not pay for this job because your TL was on recall to replace the hose for free.
