2007 Saturn Ion-2 Base 4Cyl2.2L - Preventive Maintenance
My saturn does not want to start, just click. I've changed the starter, safety neultral switch, battery, and relay switch.
When I put the car in drive without it running.....should the car be moved backwards like its in neultral?

Yes the car will act like neutral when placed in drive with the car off. I need you to plug in a code reader and see what fault codes are stored. This could be an issue with the anti-theft. is there a security icon that stays illuminated on the instrument panel while trying to start the engine or do you see the security icon illuminate and then go off when the key is simply turned to "on" (not crank) ?

I also need you to perform the following procedure if the security light is staying lit:

    a. Clear all codes.

    b. Turn the ignition off for 1 minute.

    c. Turn the ignition switch to the crank position and then back to the run position. Leave the ignition switch in the run position for at least 10 minutes, but not more than 11 minutes. Go by the clock.

    d. Turn the ignition off for 10 seconds.

    e. Repeat steps c and d two more times.

    f. Start the engine.
