2004 Hyundai Sonata Base 4Cyl2.4L - Engine

Replaced the Crankshaft Position Sensor, but the ecm fault code for the sensor continues. Is the new sensor bad or ecm?

Oil pump belt broke and warped the crankshaft sensor plate which in turn broke the sensor. Repaired the plate and sensor but code still persists. Does the ecm need to be reprogramed?

  try to disconnect the battery for 30min and see what that dose for ya

  Something is up with the sensor. The computer rarely fails. Why didn't you replace the sensor plate? The computer does not need programming.
