  An hour or less. This is n ot a difficult starter to do.

  Are you sure that the starter is bad. This Kia is not very old?. This starter does not require you to remove anything. use what ever tools are suitable to get to the two bolts that hold the starter. The bolts go through the transmission bellhoiusing and thread INTO the starter. the two wire connections to the solenoid and it comes out..
