1984 BMW 325e Base 6Cyl2.7L - Transmissions & Drivetrains

the rear end vibrates over 50 mph. I had wheels checked for correct balancing. the vibration is coming form drivers side

what is best procedure to diagnose problem.
can I jack back end and listen for noise as I acceerate to 50 mph when noise starts.

  Just elevate the suspected wheel and wiggle it side by side to check if there's a play. If play is present replace wheel bearing. Check also the lug nuts if loose and tighten them properly.
