Is rear main seal leak common on these cars? Have been told mine is leaking at 23000 miles!

Rear seal leak @ 23000 miles.

  A leaking rear main seal at 23,000 miles is not good. Have you witnessed this rear main seal leak to confirm for yourself? Be sure to perform a thorough inspection before this repair is completed - has leak detect dye been added to the engine oil?
