1993 Honda Civic DX 4Cyl1.5L - Engine

Ran out of gas and now when I start it with gas in it as soon as I push the gas it dies

It will stay running but ideals ruff

  Hello
  Sounds like your fuel pressure may be low. If you have made a habit of driving around with your fuel tank low or nearly empty you likely have overheated the fuel pump. The fuel pump is designed to be submersed in fuel to keep it cool so it does not overheat. You could try to replace the fuel filter first to see if that helps.

  Joe is right . Also when you run your car out of gas the pump sucks up all the goodies on the bottom of the tank ( dirt , water , ect. ) So change filter first .
