why is the radio blowing fuses when turned on
The radio was working sporadically for some time and then stopped altogether. With a little checking we found the fuse was blown and each new fuse went when the on button was pushed. I took the tradio out and am going to put a new one in. How can I be sure if the radio was the problem or it is a wire short? I'm not sure which fuse it is now because I took the radio out quite a while back.

Mike 9/2/2010If it was a wire short outside the radio, I don't think it would require you to turn on to blow the fuse. It's a good bet the radio is shorted.
