1999 Pontiac Montana Base 6Cyl3.4L - Engine
radiator fans and a/c quit working. engine running hotter than normal.
replace all relays. replaced thermostat. installed new coolant temp sensor. still nothing. can unplug from sensor and fans come on, no a/c. plug back up and they stop. no service engine light. sorta lost now.

i had this same problem, changed the temp sensor which didn't make a difference but in process found out if left unplugged, the fans would run when the key is on. other then that i had a code po118 which is high input current on sensor, and i'm not rich. this works for me.
