raddiator light comes on, guage goes clse to120, overflow tank spills out antfreeze

  your car is overheating. you need to fins out why, could be a stuck thermostat, the engine fan not coming on or the engine fan clutch depending on type of engine. It could also be a clogged radiator or bad waterpump.

  I replaced the thermostat. Sure the fan no longer comes on automatically. However when the car is hot and I shut it off but i noticed that when I turn the key quite close to starting the car again the fan kicks on and will continue to run but as soon as I complete the start of the engine the fan stops running.
