1987 Suzuki Samurai JX 4Cyl1.3L - Transmissions & Drivetrains

when i put the vehicle in gear it does not engage in any gears except 4th and i have to slam it into that

  is it an Automatic or Manual transmission? if its an automatic check the linkage/cables. if its a manual its most likely an internal transmission problem(shift rails are probably frozen or bent) Hope this is of some help to you, good luck!
