when i press down the gas pedl it dies

when i go to start the car all it dose is turn over and when it dose start it dies when i hit the gas pedal

  There could be a restriction in the fuel system. The filter may be clogged or the fuel pressure is low. Replace the fuel filter and check the fuel pressure. Check also spark plugs if fouled, replace as necessary.
