Power wire from alternator to battery, even though both ends look good can this wire go bad?
If I unplug the wires from the top of my alternator and run a jumper wire from the plug to the battery my headlights and glow plugs start working but when I plug it back into the alternator, no lights nor will the truck start. my repair manual refers to a fusible link from the battery to the red wire coming off the alternator but I have no such wire is this the same as the one from battery to the back of the alternator?

david 12/18/2010fuzeable links will be above starter ck with test lite to make shur u have power on both side of link ck wire from battery to alt with test lite if it has power the wire is go
