Power Steering pump failed after new engine.
I just replaced the engine in my Volvo and two weeks later the pump went on my power steering. Could the mechanic have damaged something in the installation or misinstalled connected the pump when he installed the new engine. The car has about 150k miles on it.

Not likely - about the only way the steering pump could have been damaged would be if the steering fluid were not added to the system prior to the engine start-up for the first time.

The parts are readily available from these many on-line sources, www.partsgeek.com, www.rockauto.com, www.discountautoparts.com, www.autopartswarehouse.com, www.jcwhitney.com - to list only a few possibilities.
In fact, they (RockAuto) list the power steering pump from around $103.80 for your vehicle.
