no power to starter from ignition

i jump started the starter and it kicked in but when i try to start the car i get nothing

  If you put power directly to the starter and it kicked, and you have checked the battery power and you have a good battery about 12.6volts. Then there is a disconnect in the power to the starter somewhere. Check the fuse and relay first and then test the ignition switch.
