I recently bought a 2000 VW Golf 1,4auto with 25000 miles on it . The condition is spotless My mechanic thinks it sat idle for a few years . I 've replaced the filters , oil etc Problem is sluggish acceleration Too sluggish even for a car with so small an engine . It chucks at idle and feels like it might stall. any suggestions what I can do? Thanks!
