2000 GMC Sierra 1500 SL 8Cyl5.3L - Body & Interior

Parking brake light wont turn off. Any good ways to bypass tried just pulling wire off sensor that didn't work.

I also tried grounding that wire and that just made it blink as if it would when brake was on when you driving

  First check the brake fluid level in the reservoir and if it is low add brake fluid to solve your issue with the light. If it is not low, locate the connector that plugs into the brake fluid reservoir and unplug it. See if the light goes off after restarting the engine once. if still on, jump out the two pins in the connector. The light should go out either just unplugged or jumped in most cases. I rarely see any other cause for a brake light illuminated. Most times the reservoir float is no good or stuck.
