why does the parking brake light on the dash come on while driving?

hand brake light comes on and goes off the entire time I am driving.60,000 miles,no prior work done related to this.

  See if the brake fluid reservoir is low on brake fluid. It may have gone down far enough to trip the float circuit. Out side ambient temperature dropped in most of the USA in the last few days and that makes the brake fluid occupy less space causing the float to sink a mm or two.

  I've got the same issue in my 2012 T&C. Topped off the fluid and the light still comes on and stays on while driving. Any other thoughts?
