Oil light comes on, on the high pressure side but only when its warm, thoughts?

I replaced both sensors and am leaning towards the pump since its geroder, figured theres too much clearance, i have no rod rattle that i can hear and no metal grinding so i dont think bearings are an issue, so im leaning towards the pump but i do know some had problems with the clusters being faulty but again i figure that would stay on all the time same with the bearings, figured id get the light on through the low and high pressure no matter if its cold or warm, but the light only comes on when the cars warm and on high pressure so over 2100 rpms... thoughts?

  First thing is check the pickup tube screen for being clogged. I think dropping the oil pan on that is not difficult.

  no its not thats what i was thinking too, maybe i bent it because my car is lowered

  Do you have an aftermarket oil filter installed? If so replace it with a VW original oil filter then check if the oil light still comes on.

  Yes I have heard of that happening with the filter, worth a try. Good thinking monteur.
