There is a missing component behind my glove box. I have a 2007 BMW m6 convertible. What is this missing space?

  There is no accurate way to tell for sure - especially via the internet. Best suggestion - find another similar model vehicle; say on a used car lot - and compare with your car to determine the missing part.
