2002 Isuzu Rodeo Sport S 4Cyl2.2L - Engine
Manual Transmission - Racing Engine - slow and abnormal acceleration
Occasionally - when shifting gears, my engine races at a high rpm - and the car doesn't accelerate as it normally does. Usually this is in a stress situation - when I've had to speed up quickly. Has been ocurring off and on for about a week - seems like the gears aren't kicking in properly. I suppose it could be a transmission thing - or clutch thing....any ideas appreciated.

thanks for the referral - good explanation. It must be the clutch that's causing the problem - can't complain with 98k miles on the car....it may be time to put in a new one....
