2005 Toyota Camry LE 4Cyl2.4L - Preventive Maintenance

What does "Maintenance Required light on" means?

Is it something related to Oil and Oil Filter only or is it more than that? For the last few days Maintenance Required On was blinking, but it became permanent since yesterday evening. I checked the oil level and that is fine.
Can you please help me understand the same?

  A few things . Sometimes it will come on when time for a oil change . After changing the oil just reset it and good to go . Other times it's kicking up a code too tell you something is wrong and needs a check up .

  The maintenance reminder is based off of mileage. When the vehicle is serviced, the technician resets the light.
