2007 Honda Fit Sport 4Cyl1.5L - Body & Interior
What is the cause of both low-beam lights to promptly stop working but high-beams still work?
Other lights work. Fuses okay (but replaced anyhow). Headlight bulbs replaced but problems remain.

Did you already check your headlight electrical connector? It may be loose or disconnected.

After looking at the wiring picture for the headlights, I would have to say a bad dimmer switch which is likely NOT separate from the combination switch.

That happened to my cougar and it turned out to be the headlight SWITCH. Its located behind your actual headlight on/off knob. good luck

If your fog lights work when the low beams go out, you most likely have a bad headlamp socket on both left and right headlamps. If the fog lights go out simultaneously with the low beam lamps, then your headlamp switch may be the culprit. If you're still under the warranty, it's best to have the dealer check the light circuits, and determine if it is your switch or not. While checking the headlamp bulbs, make sure your weather seals for the headlamps are in good condition. If they are worn, you can order the seals at the dealer; they are fairly inexpensive. On your socket, if you coat the socket with bulb grease (sold at AutoZone and other automotive part shops), it improves the connections. Just don't get the grease on the glass.

Just came out...recall for the 2007 & 08 Fit...headlight switch and wiring problems cause the low beams to not light up. American Honda has issued the recall as of January 2011. If you had repairs previously done to remedy the problem, there is a way to be reimbursed for the repairs. See your local Honda dealer about the recall.
