1995 Toyota Avalon XL 6Cyl3.0L - Brakes
Locking front brakes
after driving 4-5 miles brakes heat up, pedel gets very hard, car begins to have difficulty keeping up speed. Brakes wont release and gets worse until vehicle cannot be driven. After about 1 hour, brakes cool down and everything is o.k again for a short distance then starts all over. Brakes appear to be locked up. Rear brakes are normal.

    Replace the master cylinder and install a single washer under each mounting ear of the master cylinder to space it out slightly. Or.............try simply installing just the washers under the existing master cylinder and see if it helps. If it remains the same, replace the master and install the washers, got it? Let me know the outcome.

    have you inspected the brake fluid moisture contamination, high moisture content cause's brake fluid to boil quickly( 200 degress f ) not the 400 defgress that it should, this can cause calipers not to relax after application. allways check the fluid quality first,
