HouseCallAuto 9/26/2012If the compressor is not turning on, make sure the height sensor linkage has not come off leaving the height sensor disconnected. the height sensor is at the rear of the car attached to one of the upper control arms. Check the fuse also (engine compartment fuse panel - fuse U - 30 amp) . if the compressor runs but the car is slow to level out or does not level out, get the car on ramps (safely) and with the key turned on and engine off, spray the air bags with windex and look for foaming at the folds near the bottom of the bag or bags indicating air leakage. replace the bags as needed. buy online at strutmasters.com as few sites seem to sell the bags at all and some sites want too much.
